General and dry Bulk Cargo Terminal



 





 

The distribution and storage of conventional cargo (general cargo, dry bulk vessels and RO-RO) are realised through the Port of Hercules in Keratsini.

The mechanical equipment that is used for conventional cargo loading and unloading cranes is electrically driven cranes, self cranes, tractors and forks of different types.

For the service of the conventional cargo, the port allocates proportional deposits. The liquid cargo handling, especially oil, place in licensed wharf in New Ikoniou, and if need be kept private in adjacent tanks.


 



In the department of Management of Merchandises belong the deposits of (conventional charge of provisional deposition):

the warehouse C3, 5,500 sq.m., serving only goods traded with TIR cars

the indoors warehouses C14, C15, C16, 18,000 sq.m., serving exclusively discharge-fill containers

the outdoor warehouse C6, service for goods moving ships Cypriot line

the export warehouse 500 sq.m. serve the bulk goods for export

the warehouse C8, 1450 sq.m., serving the unclaimed goods E' Customs.


The Port of Service of Commercial Movement is connected with the Port of Service of Passenger traffic (Center Harbor) via coastal road, construction of which took place with the same resources and funding from the Cohesion Fund of the European Union to address the traffic problem to arise from neighboring municipalities, the movement of heavy vehicles through the road network to the National Network.
