| Job responsibilities & Required Abilities |
Preventative, predictive, correctional and emergency maintenance and repair of PPA machinery and equipment, in order to ensure the safety and the high availability of equipment to Operational Depts of PPA |
| Ensures that the port equipment and the machinery under surveillance of Engineering Dept. are in a state of readiness and well maintained |
| Ensures a safe working environment and strict compliance with Health and Safety regulations and other relevant port procedures |
| Seeks out best practices, identify causes of problems, propose solutions and implement corrective actions in limited time frames |
| Ensures that the work carried out is of high standards and in accordance with the manuals |
| Assessment of situations and preventive actions to limit potential risks/dangers at work |
| Ensures good in-house working practices (Time focus, cleanliness, mutual respect, communication, organizing, etc.) |
| Reporting of maintenance and repair actions to the supervisor in charge |
| Job Qualifications |
Electrical working license acknowledged in Greece |
| Degree in Electrical Engineering will be considered an asset |
| Basic knowledge of information technology systems (MS Office / Original Equipment Manufacturer OEM programs) |
| Basic knowledge of English (spoken/written) in order to communicate, read and understand maintenance & repair manuals of equipment and machinery |
| Car driving license, a professional driving license will be considered an asset |
| Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates) |
| Experience |
At least two (2) years of proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment or in industrial environment |
| Knowledge & Preferred Skills |
Good working knowledge of maintenance practices, use of diagnostic tools and equipment is required |
| Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and electrical drawings |
| Extensive knowledge of general safety, health and environmental issues as well as be familiar with working at height |
| Fully committing to the job, customer focused (internal and external customers) |
| Team focused in order to achieve maximum performance, utilizing all available resources |
| Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail |
