In the conference hall of PPA SA the Investment Program of PPA SA 2012- 2016 was presented, as well as the inclusion of important projects in the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF).
During the press conference given by the Minister of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping, Mr. Michalis Chrysohoidis, along with Deputy Minister, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, the Regional Director of Attica, Mr. John Sgouros, the Secretary General of Ports and Port Policy, Mr. Thanos Pallis, the General Secretary of NSRF Mrs. Georgia Zempiliadou, the President and CEO of PPA SA, Mr. George Anomeritis, Mr. Leonidas Athanasiadis (NSRF), Stefanos Christou (Piraeus) and Dimitris Katsikaris (Islands of Piraeus), the following were presented:
Inclusion of the following projects in NSRF:
1. "Extension of the southern front of the cruise port" budgeted at 230 million.
2. “An elevated mean of transport on track (monorail)” budgeted at 120 million.
3. "Construction of a new quay for cruise ships in Miaoulis Coast / St. Nicholas”, of public expenditure, 3.998.814 Euros.
4. "Widening of the Alon Port and of the sewage network in the passengers' port”, of public expenditure, 2.899.951 Euros
5. “Piraeus Cultural Coast” budgeted at 70.000.000 million Euros.
6. For the individual projects, a Programmatic Agreement will be signed between Attica and OLP SA.
Mr. George Anomeritis made the following comment: "This means that 427.000.000 million Euros have been committed to projects for Piraeus through Community and Public Resources. To these, all the other projects have to be added, which will be constructed with our own resources or through concessions, amounting to 600.000.000 million euros. The Investment Plan 2012-2016 has already been approved by the Board of Directors of PPA SA and it exceeds the 1 billion euro mark.
