The port of Piraeus welcomed the first Cruise Ship of the season

PPA S.A. announces the arrival of Mein Schiff 5, the first cruise ship in Piraeus for the current tourist season, with approximately 1000 passengers, after a long-time suspension due to the pandemic.

Captain Weng Lin, Deputy CEO of PPA S.A. speaking at the Delphi Forum, referred to the great importance of Piraeus Port Authority and also the prosperity it offers to the Greek society. He reminded that COSCO from the beginning recognized the strategic importance of the port, which is also provided due to its proximity to the Suez Canal, and highlighted that, as a global shipping industry, strongly believed in Piraeus port value since 2009.

The Minister of Maritime Affairs of Portugal Mr. Ricardo Serrão Santos, head of a delegation of the Government of Portugal accompanied by the Secretary of State for Internationalization, Mr. Eurico Brilhante Dias, visited today, Wednesday May 12th 2021 the port of Piraeus and met with the Chairman of the BoD of PPA S.A. Mr. Yu Zenggang and the Deputy CEO Capt. Weng Lin, in the presence of the Ambassador of Portugal in Athens, Mrs. Helena Paiva.

Increase capacity of the Pier I of the Container Terminal - Signing of a supply contract for Electric Stacking Cranes (E-RTG Cranes)

Piraeus, April 13th 2021     PPA S.A. announces the signing of a new supply contract for five (5) Stacking Cranes (E-RTG), which will be installed in Pier I of the Container Terminal. It is noted that the new electric E-RTGs are more environmentally friendly than conventional ones and their use will improve the environmental footprint of the port of Piraeus.
