PPA: Best Port from the East Med Region of MedCruise

Piraeus port was awarded as the best cruise port in the Eastern Mediterranean by MedCruise at an event hosted in Genoa. The award was received by the PPA Manager of Strategic Planning & Marketing Dept. Ms. Theodora Riga. It is the first edition of Mare Nostrum Awards this year and cruise companies and international press representatives voted for this category. In the jury participated also cruise industry experts and Cruise Line executives.

A significant award for PPA's Car Terminal

The European Safe Cargo Working Promotion Committee (SCWPC) of the Japanese company NYK awarded PPA's Car Terminal, certifying that it achieved zero damages in the year 2018.

Presentation of the PPA S.A. Corporate Responsibility Report 2018

Signing of New Collective Labor Agreement in PPA with the Dockworkers' Union

PPA S.A. announces the signing of the New Collective Labor Agreement with the representatives of Dockworkers’ Union of Piraeus Port Authority, after negotiations. The validity of the new collective agreement is three years. The agreement was also signed by the Chairman of the Union of Stevedores (O.F.E.) Mr. Symeon Leftheriotis.

Welcome to “Mein Schiff” and “Celebrity Infinity” cruise ships by the Management of PPA S.A.

One more new generation cruise ship (300m long) welcomed today at her first call in Piraeus, the Management of PPA S.A. It is "Mein Schiff 6" cruise ship of TUI Cruises, which will visit Piraeus six times in 2019 during her trips. Captain Simon Böttger welcomed Cpt. Weng Lin, Deputy CEO of PPA S.A. and during the exchange of honorary plaques he thanked the PPA Management for the visit and for good cooperation so far.

Official visit of the UK Maritime and Transport Minister at the port of Piraeus

The United Kingdom Maritime and Transport Minister Ms. Nusrat Ghani visited the port of Piraeus today Thursday 06.06.2019 and met with the Deputy CEOs Captain Weng Lin and Mr. Angelos Karakostas, in the presence of the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Greece Mr. James Bryce.

The World Environment Day is celebrated each year on June 5 and was designated by the UN in 1972 as a day for informing the public and raising awareness of the environmental issues facing our planet.For the year 2019 the day is devoted to the theme "Air Pollution".

Welcome to the M / V "Highway Athens" ship by the Management of PPA S.A.

The Motor Vessel "Athens Highway" welcomed today Monday, June 3rd, 2019, at its first call at the Car Terminal of the port of Piraeus, the PPA CEO Capt. Fu Chengqiu and other executives of PPA S.A. and handed an honorary plaque to the captain of the ship Cpt. Kalin Dimov, as well as books on the ship's library.

Welcome to newly-built cruise ships at the port of Piraeus

One of the biggest and most luxurious cruise ships of the world "SPECTRUM OF THE SEAS" called at the port of Piraeus and welcomed by the PPA Deputy CEO Capt. Weng Lin and other executives of PPA S.A., in the presence of representatives from cruise associations.

Visit of Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the headquarters of PPA

The President of New Democracy, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the headquarters of PPA today Wednesday 17th of April 2019 and had a meeting with the CEO of PPA S.A. Captain Fu Chengqiu and other executives of the company. After the meeting, a tour at the port facilities followed with Mr. Angelos Karakostas, Deputy CEO of PPA S.A.

The Commanding Officer of the American navy ship USS MITSCHER made a courtesy visit to PPA S.A.

A courtesy visit to PPA S.A. held by the Commanding Officer of the American navy ship USS MITSCHER CDR Ian Scaliatine, accompanied by navy officers, who stated very satisfied with the port services.

Official visit of about 30 Ambassadors at PPA S.A.

The Ambassadors of approximately 30 countries in Athens made an official visit, in the presence of China Ambassador to Greece Mrs. Zhang Qiyue, at the headquarters of PPA and met with the CEO of PPA S.A. Captain Fu Chengqiu and other executives of the company. After the meeting, a tour at the port facilities followed.

The financial results for the year 2018 of PPA S.A. were presented to the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association

The annual briefing to the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association for the results of PPA S.A. for the year 2018 took place at the headquarters of PPA S.A. in the presence of the CEO of PPA S.A. Captain Fu Chengqiu, Mr. Angelos Karakostas, Deputy CEO, Mr. Athanasios Liagkos, Member of the Board of Directors and Management Consultant, Mr. Tian Chao, CFO and other executives of the company.

The concept of «environmental sustainability» is widespread and is being implemented with the main objective of maintaining change in a balance, where the exploitation of resources, the investment direction, the technological development orientation and institutional changes are all harmoniously developed and respect both human needs and the environment.   

Double profits – Overdoubled dividend for PPA S.A.

The Board of Directors of PPA S.A. approved the Annual Financial Report 2018 according to which:The revenues amounted to € 132.9 million compared to € 111.5 million in the period of 2017, showing an increase of 19.2%. This change is mainly due to the revenues increase from the concession fee by 27.8% or approximately by € 12.2 million and the revenues from the Container Terminal by 25.3% or approximately by € 5.1 million. A further increase in revenue was recorded in the Ro Ro terminal by 13.2% or € 1.6 million and in the ship repair sector by 37.4% or € 2.6 million.  

Welcome to the newly-built cruise ship "VIKING JUPITER" by the management of PPA S.A.

The Deputy CEO Capt. Weng Lin and executives of PPA S.A. welcomed one more newly built cruise ship of VIKING OCEAN CRUISES, the sixth one, and handed an honorary plaque to the Cruise Director Mark Andrew Brignoneand books for the ship's library.

Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Piraeus and the Ports of Venice and Chioggia to strengthen the cargo flows.

The CEO of the Port Authority of Piraeus, Captain Fu Chengqiu and the President of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority, Pino Musolino, during a meeting held at the PPA headquarters, signed today a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening relations and cargo flows between the two ports.
