Piraeus Port Authority S.A. sets high standards for quality and environmental management.

Piraeus Port Authority S.A. (PPA) awarded double certification against ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 by Lloyd’s Register (LR). At a ceremony today held during international shipping exhibition Posidonia, Capt. Weng Lin, PPA Deputy CEO, was presented with certifications against ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO14001:2015 for Environmental Management by Mr Nick Brown, LR Marine & Offshore Director. The double certification demonstrates the company’s commitment to best practice for quality, environmental management and pollution prevention.

PPA S.A. participates with active presence in Posidonia 2018

PPA S.A. participates with its own booth (Stand 3201), in the greatest maritime event of the world, Posidonia exhibition, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary, surpassing any previously participations record.

The financial results for the year 2017 of PPA S.A. were presented to the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association.

The annual briefing to the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association for the results of PPA S.A. for the year 2017 took place at the Athens Stock Exchange, in the presence of the CEO of PPA S.A. Official visit of the Ambassador of China Mr. Zou Xiaoli at the premises of the Ship Repair Zone in Perama

The Ambassador of China Mr. Zou Xiaoli made an official visit at the premises of the Ship Repair Zone in Perama, where he was guided by CEO Captain Fu Chengqiu and executives of PPA S.A.

A delegation of the B5 Directorate of International Economic Relations with countries from Central and Southern America, Sub Saharan Africa & Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headed by Ambassador Konstantinos Economides, accompanied by Mr. Konstantinos Daskalopoulos, First Secretary of Economic and Commercial Affairs and Mrs. Despina Tzova, Attaché of Economic and Commercial Affairs, visited the headquarters of PPA S.A. and had a meeting with CEO Capt. Docking of the first ship in the new floating dock "PIRAEUS III"

Piraeus Port Authority S.A. is pleased to announce that after the completion of the procedure for the final installation and mooring of the new floating dock “PIRAEUS III” in a permanent position in Pier I of the Ship Repair Zone in Perama, yesterday started successfully to operate with the first ship's docking.

Completion of the European program AUGGMED at the PPA S.A.

Another one European program, related to the security and training of PPA S.A. security staff, "AUGGMED", ended with its third pilot demonstration at the port of Piraeus. The other two were successfully held at the Leeds airport in the UK and the underground train station in Barcelona.

Certification of Environmental Management PERS of PPA S.A. by ESPO

The Piraeus Port Authority S.A. announces the successful completion of the environmental certification review in accordance with the Port Environmental Review System (PERS) and the receipt of the new PERS Certificate.

The arrival of the new big floating dock is creating a new status on Ship Repair industry

The Piraeus Port Authority is pleased to announce the arrival, with the specialized cargo ship "XIN GUANG HUA" of COSCO Shipping, of the new "PIRAEUS III" floating dock of 22,000 tons lifting capacity, which can serve ships up to 240 m. length, 35 m. width, with transport capacity of 80,000 tons (PANAMAX) and disposes modern crane equipment.

Piraeus Port Authority S.A. announces: A. The tender procedure for the sale and removal of the hazardous and harmful Tanker Ship "DIMITRA Piraeus Register 10530" which is now at the port of Perama, was successfully completed with the designation of a bidder among three interested companies.

92% profit increase before tax in 2017 for PPA S.A.

The Board of Directors of PPA S.A. approved the Annual Financial Report 2017 according to which the basic figures are the following: The turnover amounted to € 111.5 million compared to € 103.5 million in the corresponding period of 2016, showing an increase of 7.7%.

Visit of journalists from Eurozone countries to PPA S.A.

A meeting of representatives of PPA's Management with a group of journalists from Eurozone countries and a tour at the port facilities of PPA S.A. took place at the port of Piraeus, in the framework of an informational initiative of the European Commission for the recent developments of the Greek economy.

Successful completion of conference “Security and Safety at the EU Ports”

The Security and Protection in European Ports was the theme of the conference organized by the Port Authority of Piraeus (PPA) within the framework of the European co-funded project Sauron. The event took place on the 31st of January 2018 in the PPA Conference Hall.

Educational visit of Master students of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens at the PPΑ S.A.

The postgraduate students of the Applied Economics and Finance - Public Auditing Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, headed by the Professors Mr. A. Christopoulos and D. Piraeus Port Authority SA assigns to Huawei Technologies SA the project of modernizing its network Infrastructure

Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) SA and the Huawei Technologies SA are pleased to announce the contract conclusion for the modernization of the PPA network infrastructure.

An increase of 19.13% was reported at the Car Terminal of PPA S.A.

A significant increase was recorded at the Car Terminal of PPA S.A. in 2017 as a total of 431.157 cars were transported compared to 361.912 in 2016, recording an increase of 19,13%. 331,832 were transhipment vehicles, which afterwards were transhipped to other ports in the Mediterranean, increased by 22,07% compared to 2016, emerging the port of Piraeus as one of the biggest terminals for car traffic across the Mediterranean.

PPA S.A. presented its proposals for the Master Plan of the Port of Piraeus

PPA S.A. presented today 22.01.2018 at a public consultation its proposals for the "Master Plan of the Port of Piraeus", as provided by the Concession Agreement in 2016, ratified in Legislation with the Law 4404/2016.

Certification of the Managing Adequacy of PPA SA from EBETAM SA

The Piraeus Port Authority SA has obtained an internationally recognized Certificate from the National Certification Body of EBETAM SA for the Managing Adequacy System implemented according to the requirements of the ELOT1429: 2008 standard for the implementation of public projects. EBETAM is a company of public interest under the supervision of the General Secretariat for Industry of the Ministry of Development.
