A Concession Contract for Duty Free Shops, in the buildings of the international terminal of cruise passengers of the Port of Piraeus, was signed today by the PPA and the company “HELLENIC DUTY FREE SHOPS SA”.
The Board of Directors of PPA SA, in the context of corporate social responsibility, has decided:(a) To give a grant of €100.000 for the function of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, whose renovation has already been completed by the Region of Attica, and which will operate under the responsibility of the municipality.
The Board of Directors of PPA SA approved the award of the work of installing a photovoltaic park in the Commercial Port of Piraeus of 430 kwp and a length of 1.080m by the company KGS Development SA.
A meeting of a 15-member delegation of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection of the European Parliament (IMCO) was held at the Headquarters of PPA SA.

New extended hours for the services of the PPA Container Terminal are being adopted on a pilot basis as of August 1st, 2013. This service at the Container Terminal (Pier I) is for the convenience of transactions concerning the handling of import formalities and delivery of Containers, on weekday afternoons (15:00 to 21:00) and on Saturday mornings.
Increased profit before taxes by 92.54% (€ 3.729.941 compared to € 1.937.186 in 2012) and increased profit after taxes by 208.64% (€ 3.456.897 compared to 1.120.048 in 2012) recorded in the first half of 2013 Piraeus Port Authority SA (PPA). The results of the first semester 2013 are the best after 2007, as the financial performance of the company is constantly improving. The third quarter 2013 is expected to be even more positive in revenues and profitability due to cruise.
Increase 11,72% showing the movements of transit passengers cruise through the cruise port of PPA SA compared with the corresponding period of 7 months from January to July 2012.
After consultation with the supervising Ministry of Marine and Aegean and the HRDF, PPA SA asked PCT SA for a prolongation of negotiations until 29/08/2013.
